HINES IS THE CHAMPION!!!

Congrats to Derek. He is the Survivor Pool Champ and winner of $396. Four of us schmucks lost in week 7 and paved the way for an anticlimactic finish. Hines was the only person smart enough to not fall into the Patriots trap. Me, Pic and St. Pierre all assumed the Pats would truck the Bears on MNF, and Wall assumed the Pats Legend Brady would mop up as well. Raiders were your league winner and Derek gets a little pocket cash

  • Every week you will select 1 team that you think will win. If they win, you are still alive. If they lose or tie, you are eliminated. If you lose or tie, there is a buy-back-in option that is detailed below.

  • All tracking is done by me, offline, and posted here on this url. I will be constantly updating this page and will send out links for reminders for people to check out how they are doing.

    My intention is to have everybody’s pick updated as early as possible on Sunday of every week, so people can see who the competition has and who they are rooting for and against. I will update the site every Tuesday with all of the weekly results as well.

  • You can choose any team in the NFL. Once you choose a team, you can no longer choose them for the remainder of the season.

    Selections are due to me by noon on Sunday. I will then try to post everybody’s pick before kickoff if possible. If you are selecting the Thursday Night game, please make sure you send me your pick prior to kickoff.

  • If one of your teams loses before week 8, you will have the opportunity to buy-back-in for a specific price. See below for the pricing guide. If your team loses after week 8, you are eliminated and cannot buy-back in. If you do choose to buy-back in, you cannot use any of the teams you have already used.

    $5 if your team loses in week 1 or 2

    $15 if your team loses in week 3, 4 or 5

    $25 if your team loses in week 6, 7 or 8

    You can only buy-back-in once during the season, so if your selection loses twice…You are done.

  • If there is a tie for 1st or 2nd place, those teams will simply continue to pick until a clear winner is determined. For example, if there are only two teams still alive in week 14, and they both lose, they will continue to pick until only one of them chooses correctly. If need be, this will carry over into the playoffs.

  • $25 to play. Venmo me at Mark-Downing-1 before the start of the games on Sunday. If you want to buy-back-in, venmo me the appropriate amount before you send your weekly pick.

  • 1st Place receives 80% of the pot
    2nd Place receives 20% of the pot
